“What do you DO?” The answer is both simple and profound: We seek to make God’s love more and more present in the world.
“But isn’t that the mission of every Christian?” Yes, and of every vocation. In institutes of consecrated life, each spiritual family lives out this mission according to its particular grace (sometimes called the “charism of the founder”).
God has called – invited – us to merge our lives with Jesus Christ, whom Angela Merici called “my Lover, or rather the Lover of us all.” Our mission is to BE women completely dedicated to God, carrying Christ’s love into all the places where our lay life takes us: work, family, neighborhood, parish, civic community….
Let all our words, acts, and conduct always be to teach and edify those who deal with us, having charity always burning in our hearts.
